Cowabunga Lawn was founded because of our owner’s family’s love for the turtles and to honor their father. Growing up, they watched the movies together as a family. After his father passed, they continued to refer to each member of their family members as a different turtle. Their group chat was even named “Turtles and Splinter” for over five years, with each family member taking on the personality of a different turtle, with their being the leader and teacher—their Splinter.

After moving out, our owner needed to find a way to make enough money for his wife to continue to be the greatest stay-at-home mom ever to their two boys. So, after a few different conversations and name combinations, Cowabunga Lawn was born.
